These mythical gods ruled on top of mount Olympus. Hence were called ‘Olympians’. Their stories still capture interests of the modern audiences even today. Let’s take a look -

God of Sea, controlled storm & earthquakes with his powerful weapon ‘Trident’. Depicted as riding waves on chariot drawn by horses.
Ruled over underworld, known as God of dead, possessed helm of darkness that made him invisible. He carried his powerful symbol 'bident'.
Known as God of War, Patron of warriors despite of his destructive nature, reveled in chaos and battle with his ‘spear’. Not so popular among gods or humans.
Known as God of Sleep and Dreams. He could appear in dreams to mortal delivering messages from divine realms, also influence the subconscious mind.
Son of Zeus, multifaceted god of healing, light, archery, truth, music and poetry, knowledge. Carried silver or golden bow, quiver of arrows along with lyre.
God of festivity, wine and was patron of Arts and Theatre too. Embodied spirit of joy and was loved by both mortals and gods. Held thyrsus as its weapon.
God of Fire with unique appearance. Created exquisite weapon, armor for gods with metals. Created the shield of Achilles while he used smith’s hammer as his tools.
God of Intelligence and trickery. Stole fire from gods for humankind which he hid in his fennel stalk. This action resulted in his eternal punishment from zeus.
God of Commerce, also a bridge between gods & mortals. Renowed for his speed & wit. Patron of travelers & guide of souls. Held caduceus in his hands as symbol of peace.
